Linden is looking fabulous and we are ready to start off another great year! Fifth grade is an important year for students. They will need to take responsibility for all assignments and behavior. Children should come to school well rested with a positive attitude and be ready to learn. Parents are requested to check the assignment book and homework folder on a daily basis. A parent signature will be required, especially first term. My motto is work hard and celebrate growth! Homework will be assigned each night. Homework consists of Word Work, Math, and Reading 20 min. for our Reading Incentive Program. Book Projects will be assigned at the beginning of each month. They are explained in class and students are shown models from previous years. All required skills are reviewed in class.
These projects are due on the last school day of every month. I look forward to working closely with you this year. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
If your child is absent please remember to send in a note on the day that they return. I will be happy to discuss make up work with your child. Frequent absences or a long term absence may require your child to stay after school for instruction.
