FIRST GRADE !

First grade is an exciting and fun learning year for your child!  There are new friends to meet, lunch to eat in the cafe, recess on the playground, songs and poems to learn, books to read, numbers to count and stories to write!  This is the year your child learns to read, learns about numbers and becomes a writer! We have a great time here in first grade and I am always proud of the progress each and every one of my students makes.

We do so much in a school day and here is a peek at what our day will look like:

As you can see, we have a very busy schedule.  Some units we focus on in 1st Grade are

Life Cycles, Sunshine and Shadows, Frogs, Plants, Communities, Neighborhoods, Families, Celebrations Around the World.
