What's Happening This Month?

        

Math   -Students are reviewing addition and subtraction concepts and facts.  We are also using the hundreds chart for many number sense activities.

Language Arts  -  Students are developing story writing skills in their written expression.  Students will be introduced to "Writer's Notebooks" this month.

        

Reading - We are reading stories about second graders and what they like to do in their free time.  Practice alphabetical order and vocabulary as your child reads their paperback book to you each night.  Remember our at home reading program starts in October.  When the first sheet is filled send it in with your child.
